18. Cotton long-sleeved jacket, 4 plastic buttons on front, 4 pockets, 'Rose T.L.' hand-printed on inside neck. Manufactured by Style-Rite Garments Pty Limited. Made in Australia 1952 (on label). Hand printed underneath R.A.A.F. A216409 ROSE P.L. (possibly Leading Aircraftman Percy Leyland Rose, No. 51071, who was born 10 July 1911 in Lancashire, England. He enlisted in the Royal Australian Air Force on 23 February 1932 in Melbourne, Victoria. His locality on enlistment was Bethangra, Victoria. His next of kin was Margaret Rose. Percy was discharged on 4 December 1956, Posting at Discharge 7 Aircraft Depot Tocumwal.
19. Khaki cotton jacket, no labels, 3 Australian military forces buttons on front (light metal), 2 oxidised on front and left-hand pocket. Light metal on the right-hand pocket. 2 hook and eye closures on the front neck. The front buttons are attached by a shank and clip.
20. Khaki bomber jacket, label 'E.J. Howard Pty Ltd 1941 Size C. Hand printed 'NX67886 MILLER R. Corporal stripes on right sleeve. Metal buttons on front, 2 hook and eyes on neck, band around bottom. Pockets on the top front. Corporal Reginald George Miller, NX67886, was born on 8 May 1917 in Sydney, N.S.W. He enlisted in the Australian Army on 28 January 1941 in Paddington, N.S.W. His locality on enlistment was Mosman, N.S.W., and his next of kin was Gustav Miller. Reginald was discharged on 5 September 1944, Posting at Discharge 4 Australian Armoured Brigade Company AASC.
21. Khaki coloured bib and brace overalls, circular label on front left -Cushen Clothing Co. Pty Ltd (size 6 in the centre). Another label is attached to the inside back straps 'Cushen Clothing Co. Pty Ltd. Reservoir, Victoria. 'We cover industry. ' 'Mighty brand Work Wear Size 6. All cotton, sanforised. Reg. Td. Mk.
22. Khaki cotton shorts, new condition. Cardboard label on back waist 'Size 32. Waist 32.' Handwritten on the back label are 'Betty' and 'Shirle'. Label on inside waist 'Regimental No. NAME... N268 1944 SIZE 32 Made in Australia. Stamp next to label 'S' 'E ^S'.
23. Khaki cotton shorts, good condition. Triangular stamp on the inside back waist 'H. 1944C. R.S. also stamps 'S', '32', '64'.
24. Khaki trousers, 4 metal-buttoned flies, well worn. Label on inside centre waist 'Regimental No. Name....N363 1942 Size .. Made in Australia.
Maurice John Harcombe was born on 21 October 1924 in Marengo, N.S.W. and died on 7 April 2016 in the District Hospital at Boorowa, N.S.W. His parents were George Thomas Roy Harcombe and Ruby Wiggins, who were married on 5 October 1921 in Christ Church, Marengo, near Young, N.S.W.
Lance Sergeant Maurice John Harcombe N443805 enlisted in the Australian Army on 5 November 1942 in Hornsby, N.S.W. His location on enlistment was Pymble, N.S.W. His next of kin was his father, George Harcombe. Maurice was discharged on 9 January 1947, Posting at Discharge 120 Australian General Hospital.
In his lifetime, Maurice was awarded Certificates in Osteopathology, Chiropractic, Osteopathy and Pianoforte.
