The World War I fundraising booklet from 1915 is titled "Our Australian heroes of the Dardanelles". The rectangular brochure has a cover of thick tan coloured paper that is hole punched and tied together with tri-colour ribbon (red, white and blue). It features an illustration of a kneeling Australian soldier aiming a rifle.
The inside of the booklet is Ashmead-Bartlett's account of accompanying an Australian fleet who were the covering party for the landing at Gaba Tepe. The front cover states it was "Sold to augment the fund for our wounded soldiers".
