About this objectA collection of photographs, newspapers and documents relating to William John Bartlett presented to the museum by Caleb, Zac and Annette Taylor; some of Bartlett's descendants.
It contains original photos from the opening ceremony for the tower on the 17th of December 1925, as well as numerous newspaper clippings outlining the design process for the tower and Bartlett's work in securing the land for the memorial.
It also contains pamphlets detailing Bartlett's life, and a copy of the program of events at the 75th Anniversary Celebration on Saturday 16th of December 2000.
