The top left image on the first page is captioned "My tent 7 RAR, 1 RAR." It shows a group of tents with tree stumps in the foreground.
The top right photo is captioned "7 RAR Welcome to 1 RAR Sign" and shows a fabric sign hung up on ropes. It has a drawing of a pig in Australian uniform next to a Shetland pony. The sign reads 'Porky's People Welcome the Pony Soldiers'. The pig was the mascot of the 7RAR and the Shetland pony was for the 1RAR. Underneath, there is a drawing of a scroll with Vietnamese writing. The whole sentence cannot be translated, but the closest is "Once five times as a joke".
The bottom left image is captioned "Concert at 'Luscombe Bowl'" and shows a crowd of soldiers watching performers on stage.
The bottom right image is captioned "Nui Dat (small hill)" and shows an isolated hill covered in foliage.

Subject and Association DescriptionDaniel Wyborn served as a part of the Australian Army during the Vietnam War. He was called for National Service and was a part of both the 7th Battalion (13 Nov 1967 - 9 Apr 1968) and the 1st Battalion (10 Apr 1968-2 Jul 1968).
